Of Chases and Discovery

He knew the moment Red Robin felt that he was being watched. Saw the stiffening in that supple form, saw his focus shift from where he'd been packing up his gear after a stake out to spreading out. Searching for the eyes he could feel on the nape of his neck. For a moment, Jason could see the tightness of full, pretty lips....and then the younger man was off.

And, like any creature who was more feral than tamed, Red Hood chased.

Over rooftops, down through seedy back alleys. Tim even tried to shake him by going under Sprang bridge, using his superior agility to his favor on the worker scaffolding. It lost Red Hood precious seconds and a peal of laughter from ahead of him coaxed an annoyed sound back from him. He'd left his helmet home, knowing full well that Tim would appreciate the glint of white as he bared his teeth at the younger man's escaping form.

As soon as his feet hit a solid surface again, Hood put on the gas and the chase was back at full throttle.

They were firmly back in Red Hood's territory when Red Robin zigged when he should have zagged and a heavy, gloved hand closed around the hem of his cape. Red Robin twisted, snarling and bo staff in hand, but Hood just lowered his head and took the beating. He waited for the opportune moment...and then Red Robin kicked out at him and Hood caught the younger boy by his thigh, grinning viciously as he used that hold to heft the boy up off the ground and force him back against an access wall so he could sink his teeth into Red Robin's neck. They were on a high enough rooftop that Gotham swallowed Tim's cry before it ever reached the ground.
