It stung a little, to have Dick shake him off and step past him so he could have another go at Jason. At least it was just verbal, this time. "I didn't want to keep it from you." Tim's voice was soft when he said it. He didn't blame Jason for asking him not to tell, and he certainly wasn't going to betray his boyfriend's trust. But of course it bothered him to lie to someone as important to him as Dick.

By now Tim knew Jason well enough to be able to tell that the pain he felt wasn't just physical. The youngest of the three caught the escrima Dick was gesturing with and clenched his jaw. He knew the risk he was taking, that Dick might strike at him out of a reflex without really meaning to. Tim didn't care. He needed to calm both of them down. "Shut up and let me talk." Now he was speaking to both of them, and he stepped forward to try to get between them again.

"Dick, I've forgiven Jason for the things that he's done to me in the past, but I also know it's unfair to ask you to do that if you're not ready." After all, Dick had been there after each time Jason had nearly killed him, had seen Tim have to recover in the hospital repeatedly. That can really mess with a person. "And Jason was worried about you thinking it was disgusting because we were adopted by the same man. He and I weren't raised together, we've never seen each other that way." Certainly there would be plenty of people that judged them anyway, but Tim just... didn't want to believe that Dick was that sort of person.

"You mean so much to both of us. More than you even know, Dick, I--" Tim paused for a second, then glanced back over towards Jason. "Just tell me why you're angry."
