Emotions rose, and so did the stakes. For a moment, though, Tim was able to perceive Dick's hurt. Jason was hurting, too, and that's what made this so dangerous. Tim didn't want to see them fight, wanted to soothe the wounds they had all inadvertently torn into each other. "Dick.." His own voice was soft, a little more vulnerable, as he reached up with a gloved hand for the man he had admired for most of his life. He wasn't sure what to say, emotions were never one of his strengths, but there had to be something. Something that could fix things.
Unfortunately, all of that was drown out by Jason losing control at the exact same moment. His own anger clawed at his chest, burning harshly up the back of his throat. They weren't listening to him. Dick pushing him out of the way, Jason trying to start shit when it was finally cooling off. His hands clenched at his sides, sharp blue eyes more icy than usual. At first he had been a little angry at Dick for overreacting, but now he was well and truly pissed off at both of them.
Not to mention Jason calling himself a monster made him want to scream, because it wasn't true. Tim told him that repeatedly, tried to get it through his head that the pit had a lot to do with their earlier interactions and they were past that now, but Jason didn't appear to accept that as an answer. It was a work in progress, but at the moment felt like nothing other than another example of people not listening to him.
Did either of them even care that Tim was standing right there? The more heated it got, the less it seemed to even be about him at all. Just airing grievances at each other. His teeth ground together in his mouth and his hand reached for his grapple.
